For those who are in town this weekend, we'll try a new venue on
Saturday morning suggested by Rick and Joe: Iverson Park, a couple
hundred yards southwest of Candler Park, our present ground (see
picture,

With a team of surveyors, I looked at Iverson Park today. It seems
somewhat better than Candler, fewer stones, a bit more consistent, if
patchy, and intimate: akin to Fulham's Craven Cottage ground in west
London as compared to the "Old Trafford" of Candler Park. Given our
hellbent-for-leather playing style, perhaps we can cut down on some of
the recent injuries and postgame stresses and strains.
