My name is Chay Peterson, owner of "Sprockethead" an MTB co., VP of
the CLCF a Silverado land conservation non-profit and promoter of the
Great Silverado Footrace.
I've never used your site before to advertise our 'underground' off
road running race we hold each February in Silverado Canyon. This year
will be our 11 annual Footrace. Many of your club members have
probably heard of it or done it in the past.

The Great Silverado Footrace is a treacherous & dangerous yet fun
event that sends participants scurrying up and down foot trails on
steep hills, cliff edges, and sometimes fire roads. It is a
self-supported race with few water stops, but we feed and award the
crowd at the end. Event T-shirts are also included in the $30 entry
(non-profit). Proceeds this year will go toward a 'Katrina Relief'
construction trip to New Orleans this April, done by my CLCF
organization. This will be our third trip to the Gulf!

Please let me know if this is something your club members would like
to know about. I will send more info with attached slideshow if you
wish. Being that it is somewhat dangerous...we don't promote it much
(word of mouth mostly)
