The 2007 CDS and GAIG/USDF Region 7 Championships are just around the corner, and volunteers are still needed to ensure its success. I am the volunteer coordinator for the Annual Show this year, and am writing to you as a Chapter Chairperson, asking if you could please spread the word about our need for volunteers via your chapter email list, website, and/or other means with which you communicate with your chapter members.

 

Below you will find an email draft that you might forward to your email list. If/when you do send it out, could you please cc: me (tracy@...)? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Please let me know if you have any questions, need more information, etc.

Subject: Volunteers Needed for CDS/USDF Championships at Woodside Horse Park

 

 

CDS needs you! The 2007 CDS and USDF Region 7 Championships are only a few weeks away -- Volunteers are being sought for this year's Annual Show, to be held at Woodside Horse Park from 11 to 14 October.

 

Six rings, each with two judges, will be used each day. As you can imagine, scores of people are needed every day to ensure the smooth running and overall success of the show. That's where you can help - by committing at least one half-day or full day to one of the many volunteer positions, including:

 

- Scribe

- Scoring

- Ring Steward

- Bit Checker

- Gate Keeper

- Runner

- Office

- Set-Up

- Awards

- Hospitality

 

Full-day volunteers receive free admission to all events and a meal allowance, as well as a commemorative gift.

 

If you can help to ensure the success of this year's Championships by giving your time as a volunteer, please contact Tracy Berry at tracy@... or 925-989-9242, and let her know what day(s)(half- or full day) and in which capacity you would like to help.
