This past weekend, we were blessed with two lovely days of competitive dressage,
hosted in a beautiful setting, experiencing delightful summer Northern Nevada
weather. The weekend was perfect.

I would like to publicly recognize Mary Anne Christiansen for all of her hard
work, dedicated hours, and incredible sense of commitment to this show, and
club. Hours of time are spent in the preparation for a show of this size before
anyone enters the center line at "A", halts, and salutes. And then the show and
the work really start. Mary Anne was there every step of the way. Please thank
Mary Anne the next time you see her.

Next I would like to thank and recognize our crew of volunteers, competitors,
and supporters that enabled this show to be such a success. Friendly scribes,
smiling runners, funny bartenders, conscientious photographers, knowledgeable
office staff, and nice competitors created a show atmosphere that can not be
artificially produced. I have already been asked to repeat the wine and beer
tasting at next year's show. I think sometimes we all get so busy we forget how
much we enjoy each other's company.
