The mild weather conditions cause trouble to the hosts of Kuusamo
Nordic Opening this weekend.

The nordic combined SJ training was cancelled for this morning. The
decision over qualification session (currently scheduled 18:00 CET) of
H142 competition is made at 15:00 CET. Mr Walter Hofer said that their
aim is to perform the qualification tonite if possible. However, the
hill is big and the teams didn't have hardly any training on real snow
so far. Thus, unnecessary risks must be avoided.

According to the reports, Janne Ahonen and Simon Ammann did succeed in
training sessions earlier this week.

The weather forecast is +1C for Thursday-Friday and below zero for
Saturday.
