Winter Park/Loveland Thursday, February 23-Monday February 27, 2012*

This trip is aggressive on minimizing vacation time and lodging costs. Most of us work on the departure day. We ski/board Winter Park Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. On Monday, February 27, we ski/boar...d Loveland, and then head for the airport for an evening flight back to Chicago.

Thursday, February 23: Evening flight to Denver. Pick up rental car(s). Head for the Best Western Alpenglow in the town of Winter Park.

Friday, February 24-Sunday, February 26: Have our (included) breakfast, and then hop on the shuttle to Ski/Board Winter Park.

Monday: February 27: Pack the car and check out of the hotel. Drive to and ski/board Loveland. After skiing/boarding Loveland, head for the airport, surrender the rental car(s) and return to Chicago.

Estimated costs as of 12/8/11 if booked now*:

1. Hotel based on double occupancy (2 persons in a 2 queen bed room) is $293. This can vary considerably depending on room type and occupancy and changes in rates (nothing is locked in).
2. Car rental estimate is $100 per person. Your share is paid in cash to your Car Captain once the total bill is known.
3. 3 day lift ticket is $267 for Winter Park. A one-day at Loveland for $59 for a total of $326.
4. Estimated airfare is $259 on Southwest (again, this can vary).
5. Total estimated cost, not including food other than breakfast, and not including rentals: 293 + 100 + 326 + 259= $978

1. If you wish to see if I have a roommate for you, contact me first (ray@...). Otherwise, contact our agent to book a room at the Alplenglow, and then let me know you are coming. The agent is Belinda Jorgenson at 1-866-743-1884 or email her at bjorgenson@...om. She can also help you with lift tickets (#4).

If you choose to use another carrier and you wish to participate in the sharing of the rental car(s), your flight must arrive in Denver before the official flight does (sorry, we cannot wait for you) and on the return your flight should leave at the same time or later than the official flight. Also confirm with me the flights you are on once they are booked.

5. Arrange equipment rentals, if any. Please contact me for assistance.
6. Attend the “meet and greet” shortly before the event.
7. Want to share a cab to Midway? Let me know and I will try to match you up (some of us will be jumping on the Orange Line from work).
