Re: [skibudz] Colorado Trip Is Sold-Out

Hey guys.

Awesome news!

However, I'm not too keen on leaving so early. I'm looking at the Southwest flights and notice that flight 571 is the same price, but leaves at 10:55 am. Also, flight 614 is less expensive. It leaves at 12:55, which gets us there at 2:35. By the time we get luggage and the vans, we should be on the road by 3:30. While that's a bit late, and we will have some traffic, it should still be alright.

For the return Flight 668 at 4:30 in Denver is perfect.

Also, I rented a minivan at Alamo for $361.71, which includes all taxes and fees. With nine of us, two minivans should be enough. If we are all on the same flight, we can use one van for the luggage and the other for passengers.

Thoughts?

Louis

Budz,

Due to a great early response it appears that the Colorado Trip in February (12-17) is sold out.

I checked with Adam at the Bunkhouse, he said that all of the rooms and bunks are full.

Currently there are some good deals on airfare to Denver (around $229 R/T) I am proposing that we fly this itinerary on Southwest:
Depart   Feb 12 Thu Nonstop MDW-DEN 1767 Depart Chicago (MDW) at 9:15 AM
Arrive in Denver (DEN) at 10:55 AM
Return   Feb 17 Tue Nonstop DEN-MDW 668 Depart Denver (DEN) at 4:30 PM
Arrive in Chicago (MDW) at 7:55 PM

The current R/T fare is $229 including tax. Southwest has no extra bagage charges which should save us a lot of money.

Louis found a great deal on renting a van so we can get two vans, one for our gear and one for us. The vans will also give us the flexibility to ski / board multiple areas on our trip.

We have been contacted by Summit Scene the local gay ski / boarding group in Summit County, they are interested in setting up a "Snow Day" with us so the local (and other visting) gays can join us.

We will have a  group meeting / bar night prior to the event so everyone can meet each other and we can pick the areas to ski prior to the trip.

If everyone planning to go on the Colorado trip can drop me a quick e-mail that would be great.

If you want to go on this trip and could not get reservations, please let me know. I will make a back-up list in case anyone cancels or if there are any changes.

Please let me know if you have any questions about the trip.

Best, Patrick
