If you have not done so please make your reservations for the camping trip by this Friday (7/11). The weekend that we are scheduled to be at Camp Buckwood is their annual "Christmas in July" Weekend one of the most popular on their calendar, it will book-up very soon.
The owners of Camp Buckwood have been very nice to offer us a flat cabin rate of $120 a night for up to four guys per cabin (that is $30 per night based on 4 guys). These are new cabins that include air conditioning, satellite TV / radio and refrigerators. You can bring your own food or purchase meals in the lodge (you can also stay in the lodge which includes meals). There are a limited number of these cabins available, please call Camp Buckwood, let them know you are with SkiBudz to get the discount rate.
I was at Camp Buckwood last weekend there were almost 400 guys there! This is a great place, I know everyone will have a great time. The camp is a short 3 1/2 -4 hour drive from Chicago and well worth the trip.
If you are in another organization please forward the e-mail, it would be great to have as many guys from Chicago at Buckwood the weekend of the 25th.
Please drop an e-mail to information@... after you make your reservation so we know how many guys will be joining us.
If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me at patrick@... or Brian Dillon at briand@... .
I hope that everyone had a great 4th, Patrick
SkiBudz Second Annual Trip to Camp Buckwood
July 25-27
Our Camp Buckwood trip was so popular last year we are going to head back to Southern Indiana for another great camping weekend!
For those of you would don't want to "rough it" the campground has a lodge / cabins and a bunkhouse with great home cooked food. 812-597-2450 (to make your reservations (Please let them know you are with Ski Budz). If you want to stay in the lodge / cabins you can check out all of the options and availability on the web site. Please make reservations for the 25th and 26th (unless you are staying a shorter or longer period of time). Plan on taking Friday the 25th off work, it is tough to get to the campground (in Eastern Time Zone) and set up camping leaving after work from Chicago.
We will probably organize some group activities such as a trip to Nashville (IN) and a group dinner at the Buckwood lodge on Saturday night.
Please drop an e-mail to briand@... to let us know that you will be joining us. Also please let us know if you would like to offer a ride or need a ride? The campground is about 3 1/2 hours south of Chicago.
