Please join us tomorrow... We will meet in front of the restaurant at the Doubletree hotel in Rosemont before 1 PM. If you need help locating the group or have any questions please feel free to contact me on my mobile phone at 773-301-6704.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone! Patrick

Please join the Chicago Gay Skiers and Snowboarders at the Chicago Ski and Snowboard Expo on Saturday, November 4 in Rosemont.

We will meet at 1 PM at the "Off The Park" Restaurant located at the Doubletree Hotel O'Hare  across from the Rosemont Convention Center (location of the ski show) at  5460 North River Road in Rosemont for a meeting and lunch. There will be updates on the trips, (including our first trip to Granite Peak on January 19!) our communication / marketing efforts and most important, an opportunity to share your ideas.

At 2 PM we will head over to the Convention Center for the Expo which features booths from over 100 ski areas, retailers and equipment companies, a gigantic ski / snowboard sale, seminars and clinics, celebrity guests such as Tommy Moe and Billy Kidd,  free ski lessons on an indoor ramp, climbing wall and much more!

Tickets are $10 and include a free lift ticket for Devils Head in Wisconsin (advertised as a $45 value).

You can purchase tickets on-line and get more information about the show at

http://www.skidazzle.com/ch_index.htm

You can buy your tickets on-line however I don't ever recall any long lines for tickets at the show.

Please park in the main Rosemont Convention Center Parking Garage off of River Road (across from the Convention Center at 5555 N. River Road in Rosemont, once you park you can go to both the Doubletree, Hotel Sofitel and Convention Center which are connected by skybridges. You may want to ride-share, parking at Rosemont is expensive (for the suburbs) I believe can be as high as $10/$15.   Please e-mail information@...  If you need a ride from the city or if you can volunteer to drive a fellow skier to the meeting / show, we will try to match riders and drivers.

This is a link to a good map showing the layout of the hotel(s) and convention center area:

 http://www.rosemont.com/meeting/parking.shtml

If you want to take the CTA the Convention Center and hotel are just a short walk from the Rosemont Stop on the Blue Line (Walk South on River Road you will run into the convention center).

At 4:30  PM following the ski show we will meet at the LeBar located in the lobby of the Sofitel Rosemont to meet your fellow skiers and snowboarders (I hear they have great martinis!) again just walk through the Skybridge.

Please e-mail me at information@... to let us know if you will attending the meeting and/ or the social after the ski show so I can make reservations if needed.

I am looking forward to seeing you on the 4th for what should be a great time!
