Join the Ski-Bees - A Summary

The Ski Bee's Ski Club is over fifty years old.
In 1960, they bought the present Lodge in North
Conway less than a mile from Mt. Cranmore, in the heart
of Mount Washington Valley. The lodge is less than a
half hour drive to Attitash, Bretton Woods, Black
Mountain and Wildcat Ski Areas, as well as Shawnee Peak,
Maine. Sunday River, Maine is about 1hour 15 minutes
away. There are numerous cross country trails,
including, Jackson X-Country Ski Foundation, Great Glen
Trails, Whitaker Woods, and Pinkham Notch Trails. The
diversity of members range from their mid-twenties to 55+,
and reside mostly in Massachusetts, New Hampshire,
Rhode Island, and eastern Connecticut. While most of
the Membership has professional backgrounds, many
have worked part-time as ski instructors, ski
patrollers, administrative and operational ski area
management, etc. This , coupled with years of experience, can
provide a wealth of information to the novice or
intermediate skier.

In addition to skiing &
snowboarding, the club is used throughout the year. Activities
include; hiking, mountain biking & climbing, roller
blading, photography, canoeing, swimming, fishing, and
other outdoor activities. In mid-April, the Ski-Bees
hold their annual Pig Roast at the lodge. In June, the
club has an annual sports week-end and banquet in the
Mt. Washington Valley area. SummerClub, of which the
Ski-Bees are part of, have three social functions in the
Valley on Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Weekend, and
Labor Day Weekend. Other social functions are held in
the off-season in the Boston area, Gloucester, Cape
Cod, and Lake Winnipesaukee.

The lodge we own

dishwasher, microwave oven, & coffee makers ranging from 5 to
100 cups. Our dining room can sit 100 people. We have
a front room with large color cable T.V. and
attached VCR. The middle room (reading & Game) has a gas
log fireplace. The function room, which includes the
dining area, can hold over 250 people. The building has
a secured room just for skiis & ski equipment, a
ski-tuning room, (equipment for snow boarding is in the
purchase plan) and an outside storage shed for bar-b-que
equipment and mountain bikes.

We have the largest
