I am an Anthropology student at Indiana University conducting research
on skateboarding culture. Please help me collect data for the project
by responding to following questions. Thanks for your help.

1. Do you consider skateboarding to be part of mainstream culture or a
subculture? Some examples of mainstream culture are pop music and
traditional sports such as basketball. A couple of examples of
subcultures are punk rock and Goth.

2. What is your view on the popularization of skateboarding including
such things as the X Games, Vans, and Pacific SunWear?

3. Why do you think skateboarding is male dominated with only a small
amount of female skaters participating?
