As we all know the canal path is under construction this summer. I did some
recon on Friday
to find out the progress, and I was surprised to see how far along they have
come.

They still have construction signs up from the Clover St lock (widewaters
actually) to just
short of E. Henrietta road. They have completed new pavement from widewaters
all the way
past the Edgewood Ave lock to S. Clinton (wow that was fast). From the S.
Clinton underpass
to 200 meters short of E. Henrietta the path has been ground up is now
compressed gravel (it
is bikable, but not skatable). I'm expecting that by the end of next week, they
will have
finished paving this 600-700 meter stretch.

Has anyone else seen any recent path construction? Please post if anyone has
any recent
path updates?
