I'm glad you mentioned the sticks and leaves. I thought I was the only one that
had a problem with them. Is there a trick to navigating them?
I have seen other skaters just plow through them without any trouble. The
leaves can get a little slippery, though.
I'd love to hook up with other skaters at some point - but my family obligations
usually take priority:)

For the bravest of skaters, the RISC calendar will soon show downtown
skates at 6:00 TUESDAYS and 5:00 SUNDAYS. There's not much light on
Tuesdays, but there's probably a couple good days left.
Skates are all scheduled downtown in an attempt to avoid the leaves
and sticks which will soon litter the canal and 390 paths.
Skates will be scheduled until the end of October. The light and
weather will probably won't hold that long, but it's worth a try.
