Ever June we try to go (at least) once to skate the Syracuse Onondaga
Park. This is a 4 lane highway (that is closed for several hours every
Sunday) that then connects to a nice smooth path around the lake for a
several hour of fun skating.
We start at the Mid-Town Athletic club with a 745am departure time. We
carpool from there to save on gas and tolls. You can expect to return any
time after (approximately) 2pm depending on how long we chit-chat and/or
hang around for lunch. There will be people who leave a little earlier and
some who leave a little later, so you should have choices if you want to
ride vs drive.
We also have a tentative plan to return for the last Sunday Parkway skate
on June 20h (the week before the Philly skate [subtle reminder]) if you
wish to come for a second round or can not make the 1st date.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reply here and get a
discussion going.
See you there, Skate safe:
