Happy Winter to Everyone:

I hope everyone is having fun shoveling snow, brushing off cars, putting on
tons of layers just to get from the car to work.

I expect many of you are off skiing, ice skating and having winter
fun...... lets hope we are able to un-layer the clothes and skate on some
dry pavement sooner than later.

The main reason for this email is two fold:
#1 - a meeting/lunch invite
#2 - open the lines of communications for all, website

Details:
#1 - On Sunday February 29th, we will hold our first annual leap year
meeting (next one in 2008). Everyone is invited to attend lunch at Tullys
(1225 Jefferson Road in Henrietta [390 and Jefferson]) where we will
discuss plans for the upcoming skate season (special events like races,
marathons, Learn To Skate, Syracuse, Niagara, etc.) such as: times, dates,
locations.
Please bring any ideas with you for events, locations, etc. We are always
open to new ideas and skate events or anything that we can all get together
for.

#2 - I have been working on new tweaks and updates to the web site, so stay
tuned for changes and slightly newer changes. I will be enabling the
Forums shortly and we will be able to communicate with each other on a more
on-7going manner and with threaded postings. This will allow anyone who is
a member of the web site to post anything they want... but will require you
to head over and read what is going on. In the short term, please feel
free to use the mailing list (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/skateRISC) for
any and all communications you want to share with the group. Conversations
do not have to be 100% skate related, and can be ice skating, skiing,
movies, dinner, etc.... it is just a nice way to include a group of people,
so have at it.

I look forward to seeing everyone who was not able to make it to Miami on
the 6th (and those who did) at Tullys. I plan to get there a few minutes
early to get us a large table, so please RSVP to me by Saturday the 28th so
I have a head count for the hostess.
