Their website indicates it is still Tuesday from 8-11pm... I will
call and verify that they are not changing the day/time... I am
going to get my skates refit and start doing Tuesday nights again
soon... Let me know if any of yo want to ride together...
On another related note... My old skate instructor used to teach
indoor speed skating. She was starting to work with me a little on
the techniques before I stopped in the spring (well a 1/4 lesson!;).
She had a group training for regional races (I think) a few years
ago. I wonder if we can do something as a group like that this year?
Basically it is a skate, that would maskerade as one of her
lessons... We probably would need a certain number of people to
probably to make it cost effective. I was paying 30$ for lessons for
both boys and myself for a 30 minute lesson and the ability to skate
an hour and a half, prior to the open skates on Sunday. So
basically, 2 hours of floor time for the three of us Sundays at 11am.
If she did not have to really teach us and she charged us about the
same, we could do it for pretty cheap with 8-10 people... When I did
it, we shared the floor with figure skaters in the middle...
Anyway, just a thought to keep the legs a-pumpin and the wheels
a-spinin, in the snow... No promises, but let me know if there is
any interest and I can talk to her and/or the mgmnt about the idea if
there is... If it does work out maybe we can enlist some of the
quad skaters and Spinner's regulars too...
