Not until this afternoon had forecasts isolated rain to late Sunday, so
Niagara is on! We depart from our Genesee Valley Park meeting place
Sunday 7:45a, http://tikcuf.com/risc/where/gvp.html, and reach our
shaded parking place on the Trail, just across the Niagara Parkway from
the Floral Clock about 9:45a, where we can meet others arriving
separately.
We skate south to Niagara Falls, return to our origin, then north to
Niagara-on-the-Lake for lunch, and finally back again, totalling about
30 miles. Options are aplenty: skate quarter way to Niagara Falls, then
return on the People Mover; or to the Falls round-trip 16 miles, then
drive and meet others at Niagara-on-the-Lake; or maybe three-quarter, to
Niagara-on-the-Lake, then ride back with those who drove there; or just
skate the whole thing. Scan for details from our past Niagara skates in
our archives:

If you drive your van, suburban assault vehicle, or just plain big car,
you may expect your riders to contribute their portion of marginal
costs, about 12 cent/mile. Our route along Route 104 brings us past
Smokin' Joes, on Tuscarora reservation property, where gasoline sells
without taxes. On our return if we have time, we can swing by scenic
Lake Alice, where Bob suggested we try canoeing or kayaking at Oak
Orchard, and get ice cream at Brown's Berry Patch!
Don't forget to bring proof of citizenship and whatever essentials you
think you need, like Canadian currency, sunscreen, phones/radios, tools,
bagels, extra water, change of clothes, sandals, skates, helmet, and
pads, and expect to return by about 6p.
…see y'all ready to depart 7:45a at Genesee Valley Park!
