Since Liberty Skate Weekend is less than three weeks away, we want to share with
you the routes, entertainment and activities that you don’t want to miss. Please
also take some time to fill out our registration form at
HTTP://WWW.JABBERJAWS.COM/EMPIRE/LSWFORM.HTML, this will help us ensure that we
have enough food and supplies for all.

FRIDAY MAY 31st

7 pm Manhattan Sunset Skate (and raffle)
Experience NYC’s rhythm and soul by skating through historic sites and
traditional neighborhoods. We will zoom through Time Square, 5th Ave and the
Empire State Building to Madison Square Park. Then stroll around Greenwich
Village, Soho and Little Italy before enjoying a Hudson River sunset view on our
way uptown.

9 pm Dinner at the 79th Street Boat Basin Café
Dinner and drinks at this skate friendly site. Try to guess what recent movie
filmed a scene here while you enjoy the view and some brews.

11 pm Late Night Skate (and raffle)
Enjoy Central Park in its peaceful late night state. Skate around Gracie Mansion
and see the Roosevelt Island tramway and the East River. Then, we will dash
through Times Square to Hell’s Kitchen by Midnight ending in Siberia.

Stand Up Comedy and Music at Siberia (356 W 40th St between 8th and 9th)

Daniel Nainan will be performing his comedy show at Siberia and we get to enjoy
his jokes and his impressions of Bill Clinton without worrying about drink
minimums. Dan has performed in Stand Up New York and Caroline’s in NYC as well
as in various clubs in Los Angeles and San Francisco. He has been on television
in Manhattan and in the newspaper in Palo Alto. If you haven’t seen Dan before,
you can’t miss this chance. If you have seen Dan…I guess we’ll be fighting for
the best floor space to enjoy the show.

We will also get to enjoy Vitamin X’s music. Vitamin X is one of NYC's up and
coming progressive rock bands. Playing all original tunes the four musicians are
skilled, edgy and soulful. Hear them now so as you could say you knew them
when..."

Bring shoes and learn Siberia's rules.

SATURDAY, JUNE 1ST

10 am Coney Island Skate
Glide through Brooklyn on the way to Coney Island. At our destination, we will
enjoy food and drinks at Nathan’s original location and then ride the well-
known Coney Island Cyclone. Bring shoes. Return by train or skate

4 pm Hang out at Central Park: visit the bandshell, dance circle, or skate the
loop.

6 pm Jack’s Mystery Skate (and raffle)
Experience Jack’s favorite places to Skate Past in New York. Why so much
mystery? You’ll have to show up to find out.

8 pm Dinner at Seoul Buffet (34 West 32nd Street between 5th and Broadway)
We'll enjoy Asian food at this skate friendly locale. After dinner, we will move
downstairs to their lounge. We can listen to music, sing karaoke, and hang out
with friends.

SUNDAY, JUNE 2ND

Easter Seals Roll at Chelsea Piers (http://www.rollandstroll.org)

IMPORTANT: HELMETS AND WRISTGUARDS REQUIRED ON ALL SKATES, all other protective
pads recommended, AND REFLECTIVE CLOTHING OR BLINKING LIGHTS
