Kathy (of Syracuse) recently informed me that Dave Linton, the webmaster of the
Empire Skate Club (skating club in New York City), is ery interested in putting
a link of my Philly 2001 photos to his page.
The reason I'm particularly letting you know is to obtain your permission to
allow it.
Why? Although, true it was only Bob and I that skated Philly this year, I still
need to ask you "regulars" that have any skate shots on my photo album
collection site. The password to see the Philly skate would be made public to
Empire's site thus potentially the entire skate enthusiast community. That same
password is used to access all the other skate albums that I've publicized on my
photo site over the past year (Onondaga Skates & Philly skate last year). A
visitor to my Philly 2001 album could easily through menu options look at the
other skate albums if they wanted (because of the way that free photo site was
designed by Hewlett-Packard) using the same password. Although the password for
the other collections won't be publicized on Empire's site, it's safe to assume
users would try the same password on the other skate albums. Furthermore, for
sake of simplicity and album management, I'm not changing the passwords. And the
password is the same for any future skate albums I put up.
So if anyone objects to me passing on the link (& password) to their site,
please let me know before next Wednesday, July 18th and I'll refuse them the
link. Just send me a private e-mail. I won't even announce what the final
decision was.
