Syracuse CitySkates roll from the Everson Museum of Art in downtown Syracuse.
Visit hip spots like Armory Square and then feast at the original Dinosaur
Barbecue. Then if your Memorial Day weekend plans can accommodate and weather
cooperate, crash at a Syracuse bed & breakfast perhaps, and skate Parkway
Sundays at Onondaga Lake Park.
To carpool or caravan, please meet 6pm beyond the southern entrance to Mid-Town
Athletic on East Highland Drive: the fluorescent green asterisk on the the

As usual, if you drive your van, suburban assault vehicle, or just plain big
car, you may expect your riders to contribute their portion of the Thruway toll
and marginal cost of the trip, about 12 cent/mile. Our return trip also passes
the Lyons Thruway service area, with a Mobil, where fuel tax reductions remain
in effect.

Beginning Friday, June 22, in Philadelphia is Freedom Skate, an amazing skate of
500 by registration and perhaps another 700 tag-alongs by Sunday. See last
year's skate at

your registration. I have already requested wait-listing for one room,
tentatively for Orlando, Jim, and me, at the fully booked Sheraton University
City, and can request another from Freedom Skate's allotment if we need.
