Thanks to all that attended the meeting tonight. I think it went very well.
Here is the skinny from the meeting!
Members attached is a list of volunteer Duties for the Fowl Fun Run. It
looks like we still need a few more people to help out. The biggest challenge
will be getting volunteers on the course. Keefer's sister,Teresa, said most of
the Mount Vernon girls will be running in the race. I think we will need 8
volunteers for the course. (Keefer??) We probably need 1 more for the finish
line, one for parking, and 2 for food preparation.
The race starts @ 10:00am, please arrive at the fairgrounds by 8:00am so we
can discuss what everyone will be doing. Just in case something happens we may
need to swap people around to make it all work.
Joe Tompkins is going to borrow his work truck to help Dean haul all the
stuff the fairgrounds, and he will pick up all the shirts on Friday. Joe, Dr.Rob
and Dean will be setting up the course.
Pete Haase will pick up the bread from Great Harvest in B'Ham after 2:00pm
on Friday.
Lana will make a Costco Run on Friday, bake 10 pies, pick up stuff from Red
Apple. She will also be taking care of registrations that come in until the DOR.
She might need some help?? Give her a call at FootwoRx if you can help her out.
Jim Kopkoswki is going to check the PO Box and drop registrations off at
FootwoRx.
Steve Duncan is going to measure and mark the new 2 mile course, and well as
mark the certified 10k course.
I will not be of much help after Tomorrow. I am flying to North Carolina
Thursday night (11/1/07) and won't be back until late Friday (11/9/07). Kevin
Ryan is leaving on Friday (11/9/07) on a trip so he will not be able to attend
the race. If any problems arise please call me at 360-202-2801, or Lana at the
Mount Vernon FootwoRx, and we will try to help remedy it.
