Well Well once again it is time to get into gear for the marathon. It looks like
we will have about 650 participants this year. We had 500 in 2006, and 360 in
2005, and 240 in 2004. So as you can see this event just keeps growing and
growing.
The following items have been confirmed and will be here on time:
County, city, and state permits done
Insurance for the event done
Talking Rain water, Juice, Cups, and Mile Markers.
Walton Beverage Gatorade and Cups
PSG, 650 medals

Two new Seiko Timers
Course supplies from Rainbow Racing
Birch Bay Cones
Wizards of ooze Porta Poties
Race ID gift certificates
Runners World bags, and packet stuffers

2 Trail Running books Cheri Gillis
Shirts and Numbers, Footworks and Brooks, Kevin Ryan
Still needs to follow up on the following items;
Fidalgo Bay Coffee
Great Harvest Bread
Gift certificates from FootwoRx
Bakers Cookies
We really need members to solicit for donations to give away at the marathon.
Jim Kopkowski has a list of the business's he talked to last year and that also
donated for the Tulip Run. If any of the members can take some time to find us
more stuff to give away to participants and volunteers I would appreciate it.
I also need to ask Dean to get two Sherriff's to take care of the course for us.
He also needs to contact the Burlington Police department, high school
(Paperwork has already been sent in twice with no response!) and contact all the
cross country teams to assure they will have enough man power for this year.
I am scheduling a meeting to discuss the marathon on 8/16/07, Alfys Pizza,
Burlington 6:30pm. Hopefully most of the outstanding items will be taken care of
by then
Hope to see you all there,
Terry Sentinella
