Members,
What a great small race. Dallas Kloke(Anacortes CC Coach) and Nicole
Johnston (Art Dash RD) did a great job once again with this fun relay. It was
nice to see so many Skagit Runners present. Thanks to all that made it.
Clay Wing ran all four loops in about 59 minutes, WOW. I think he beat all
the relay teams and made a course record.
Our team finished in the top 5, I think 3rd, 1:09:06. Jim Carson once again
had an exceptional time to put us in a leading spot. His time was 16:01. Dr.Rob
was the second runner with a great time of 17:33. Rob you are amazing, your
running has improved leaps and bounds. Keep it up buddy! I scrounged up our
third leg runner the morning of the race, John Angus, 19:15. John told me the
day before he planned on driving up from Seattle just to see if any team needed
a runner. Antoinette dropped out the morning of the race due to family
obligations, luckily John was there to back us up! He planned on running easy
because is just getting over an Achilles injury. Great Job John, we appreciate
the support. I was the last runner with a time of 16:14.
I would love to see the club support more runs like this what a blast for
all involved.
