San Juan Island Marathon - Jun 4 - Friday Harbor, WA
Michael Lynes, of Tacoma WA, won the 2006 San Juan Island Marathon with a time
of 2:43:22. Lynes was the runner up at the Whidbey Island Marathon in April of
this year. He was followed by Pete Hansen, of Ferndale WA - winner of the Birch
Bay Marathon earlier this year - who took second in 2:55:48. Sixteen year old
Bob Alger, of Redmond WA, placed third in 3:06:12. The Women were led by Jodi
Brautaset, of Mount Vernon WA, who broke the tape in 3:30:40. Abigail Bushley,
of Gig Harbor WA, took second place in 3:39:02, while Jane Hutchison, of Friday
Harbor WA, came in third in 3:49:49.
