With the exception of the really famous (Best, Moore, Charlton come to
mind) I had more emails to the 70-71 website than ANY other player. I
think because he was a great goalscorer and not exactly ... a toned
athlete, shall we say.

One of the great moments of the site was actually getting an email from
him (or at least someone claiming to be him), something I miss now that
I update it anymore.

Ken Bates is just loving all the other teams getting minus 15 points,
arguing that if people hadn't been so keen to kick Leeds when they were
down, they might not have got the same punishment when it was their
turn.

Nothing will convince me that that decision was based on logic, it was
just a way of getting Leeds back for 'playing the system' the previous
season, but now their stuck with it and having to treat everyone alike.

Essentially it is impossible to get out of administration without
getting a second punishment unless you want to meet conditions that
would have meant you didn't need to go into admisistration in the first
place.

At least Luton did actually cheat, I've less sympathy for the extra
points they lost than I do for those related to coming out of
administration. Not that I want them to be relegated for it, I've been
really hoping they get all the points they need, but I really don't
think it is possible anymore.
