Well until I start up the 70-71 site again some time in the future,
one thing I will miss is getting the occasional free copy of this and
that. 'The Bromley Boys - The True Story of Supporting the Worst
Football Team in Britain' is really excellent and highly recommended
if you see it.

I've only just started it but the intro is spot on, and coincided
with me going to see Guiseley play Leeds United (which unlike Bromley
v West Ham, Guiseley won 2-1). It occured to me there will be 10 year
old lads there going through just the same thing Dave Roberts was
going through in the pre-season friendly he describes.

Dave contacted me on the subject of football boots when still writing
it so somewhere in the narative I'm hoping some of the info I replied
with influenced the narative!
