Mike Trebilcock

Ex-Plymouth, Everton, Portsmouth. I saw him quite frequently in Pompey
home games in the mid-late-60s where I thought he was continually
underrated by the manager at the time George Smith. I've been reading
about him on various sites on the web from time to time and have heard
him described as a "black player". This came as news to me. I know he
was of very dark complexion but I always assumed (dangerous I know)
that this was solely due to his Cornish ancestry. Many Cornish folk are
very dark. Anyone any thoughts - or know the answer?
