But why ? There is no way 22 clubs can compete at the same level any
more. We might as well cut the dross and leave it to the 16 clubs who
can!

If you really get me on the subject, I think we should really cut the
Premiership to 10 like Scotland. Next it should refuse promotion and
relegation, then it can be just cut adrift.

That way all the TV audiances can watch Premiership football, while the
real football fans get on with a real competition where celebrity isn't
the first criteria for being covered in the football news...

Just imagine it, we can form a new League of 4 Divisions called
Division One, Division Two, Division Three and wait for it...Division
Four, where football clubs have teams made up of local lads and a few
star players.

The fans would go to their local team one week, and a nearby team
slightly further down the League the next week. Football news would be
about the football and not the hairstyles, and the overseas players
would be the Northern Irish juniors being given a trial!

Sounds great to me.

I might change my view on this when Leeds are back in the Premiership,
mind...
