Musings on the Premiership being rubbish.   Message List

Not a 60s 70s comment, but I'm pleased Derby got their first win today.

The Premiership with it's Top 4 is so dreadful compared to the old
Division One in the 60s 70s. I know there were top teams back then, but
this Top 4 stranglehold in the Premiership is killing English football.

I really hope Man Ciy's challenge has got legs and they win their first
title since 68.

Personally I would cut the Premiership to 16 sides and have just 2 up
and 2 down.

Also it is time the Conference National became the proper 5th Division.
I saw Farsley Celtic (Paul Madeley's old side!) play Exeter on Saturday
and the quality is definitely good enough.

If only there was a European Super League to get rid of the top 4 sides!

Bob

... But why ? There is no way 22 clubs can compete at the same level any more. We might as well cut the dross and leave it to the 16 clubs who can! If you...
