Double -Barelled names.   Message List

Re: Double -Barrelled names.

Chris Bart-Williams, anyone mentioned him yet?

When I was updating Fulham's page and adding junior players from the 70-
71 season, I came across a Cummings-Bart and thought at the time it was
very unusual to see a double barrelled name back then.

Prompted by this list, I thought I'd check if Leeds United have EVER
had a player with a double barrelled name.

There is the odd foreign player like Jose Roque Junior, but on my first
scan through every player ever I didn't see a UK style double-barrelled
name at all.

The Australian, Shane Cansdell-Sheriff got very close, but never quite
made the first team. He did manage a few games out on loan to Rochdale,
but never came on the pitch in a Leeds first team match.

Good one, I'll look out for Leeds's first.

Don't think F P-M did play in the named shirt era. I believe V of H is a double barrelled name rather than he is V from H if you get my drift. On the name...
