Re: [sitzmark_bikers] mountain biking events

I've been thinking about doing a few WORS or WEMS races this year too. The
Reforestration Ramble was one that I had penciled in already. A friend did it
last year and she survived well enough to want to do it again this year so I
found that encouraging. I actually did ride a bit there yesterday after the
half-marathon. We stuck to the shorter, easier loops and had fun.

The Sheboygan race would also be fun. That was a course that was recommended to
me by my mountain bike racing spin instructor, and one of the mechanics at
Wheels & Sprocket who also races. I had asked both of them about courses that
would be best for beginners and that was one of them that they came up with.

A bunch of us, about 10, had a good evening for our ride. The air was brisk but the sun shine and the exertion took the edge off. I missed out on the post...

I'd be interested in doing some rides as well. I could sure use some practice before I even think about entering any races. Sue...
