Well once again, I am forming a team for the MACC fund - Trek-100 bike ride. My work sponsors the team fee, but all sitzmark bikers and friends are welcome to join.
This year the ride is starting from the Trek headquarters in Waterloo WI, instead of WCTC in Waukesha - honestly I think the ride was getting a little too big for the roads around WCTC.
For those of you who haven't done this ride it really is one of the premier charity bike rides in the state - Trek really goes out of their way in sponsorship. Typically there are food stops every 10 miles or so, a pre-ride breakfast and a post ride dinner - so this is a ride that you can actually gain weight on. There are a number of distance options available 100-62-36-15

Here is a short synopsis of the charitable activity from the web site;
Today, up to 80% of children with cancer can be cured. But cancer still remains the leading disease-related cause of death in children. Help us continue the battle against childhood cancer and related blood disorders during the 20th Anniversary Trek 100 Ride for Hope!On June 6, 2009, the ride returns to the birthplace of Trek Bicycles in Waterloo, Wisconsin.
Join us as we celebrate 20 years of keeping hope alive as we Ride for Hope to defeat childhood cancer and related blood disorders.
Well now that the weather seems like it is going to turn the corner its time to get out and ride. Its a real nice warm up ride for the ride for the arts the next day as well.
