Mondays Ride (8/29)   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #211 of 539 |
We had fun with a new twist to our ride last night. A draft line of
eight worked together to have a nice average of about 20.5mph for the
majority of the ride. It appeared that no one had to work extremely
hard, and, we had a handful of riders in the group that had not ridden
at that pace previously! I would say a great start to something we can
continue to practice as the group desires. With Labor Day this coming
Monday we have decided to ride on Thursday night next week. We also
decided to shoot for a 6pm ride start due to the diminishing light and
the desire to ride the Golden Lake Route from Nashotah again.

Meet: Red Circle Inn Parking Lot, Nashotah

Directions: From Milwaukee, I-94 west to Hwy 16 west to Hwy C (about 10
miles, next exit after Hwy 83) south to Red Circle Inn (south west
corner of the stop sign intersection).

Time: Meet 5:45, ride 6:00
]
Shortcut options are provided for those that do not want to ride the
entire route.

For those unfamiliar, we do not focus on staying together as one group.
The fastest riders average 19-21mph. The middle group of riders average
15-19mph. And there is occasionally a few riders averaging less than
15mph.
