Another very nice evening for a ride. If I counted correct we had 10
people show; which gave us a good range of desires and abilities. As
always, the riders doing the full loop, which is now 33miles, get a good
hill work-out. And if you do not want the distance of the full loop,
you can still enjoy the scenic hills by cutting the southern loop and
riding the northern loop. Or, if you want to avoid most of the hills
you can stay on the southern loop. Lots of options on this ride!
Finally, the post ride refuel at the Roadside (not a road kill feast) is
a favorite. Same plan next week.
Next Week: Tour de Holy Hill
Meet: Roadside Bar in Lake Five. From Milwaukee take Hwy 41/45 North to
Hwy
Q (north end of Menomonee Falls) west (about 7 miles) to Roadside Bar on
the
North side of Hwy Q.
Time: Meet 6:15, Ride 6:30
Shortcut options are provided for those that do not want to ride the
entire
route.
For those unfamiliar, we do not focus on staying together as one group.
The fastest riders average 19-21mph. The middle group of riders average
15-19mph. And there is occasionally a few riders averaging less than
15mph.
Also, the Riveredge Nature Center has there annual ride this Sunday, the
River Valley Ride. This is a very nice ride east of WestBend in the
Newburg area. Check it out on-line at www.riveredge.us. A few of us
Monday nighter's will be there for the 7am start.
