Mondays Ride (on Tuesday 4/6)   Message List

Last night we had a very nice ride from Lannon into the HolyHill area. We
joined a group of Tri-athletes in training and ended up in a fast ride. Front
line average speed was between 20.0 and 20.4 mph over the 30 mile ride. Quite a
few other riders joined and rode a 18-19 mph pace. We also had a few riders a
moderate leisure pace. Fun for all.

Next week it is back to Roadside Bar on Monday for our Tour de Holy Hill ride.

Meet: Roadside Bar in Lake Five. From Milwaukee take Hwy 41/45 North to HwyQ
(north end of Menomonee Falls) west (about 7 miles) to Roadside Bar on the North
side of Hwy Q.

Time: Meet 6:15, Ride 6:30

Shortcut options are provided for those that do not want to ride the entire
route.

Some exciting news from today's Tour de France Stage four Team-Time-Trial as a
few of the commentators report "Defending Lance Armstrong's title as Tour de
France champion today for the 2nd time in history, an American team has won the
Team Time Trial." It was the Posties that won it last year for the 1st time.
"Lance has now won 60 yellow jerseys over the years -- the same as Miguel
Indurain -- but he still has a way to go to catch up with Eddy Merckx and
Bernard Hinault."
