Mondays Ride

Being that I was not at the Aug. 25th ride below are the details of the ride
from George S.:

Due to threatening weather the ride was a short, only 13.5 miles. 4 of us
did a very abbreviated northern route through Stone Bank. Two bikers left
for their ride at 6:00 PM and rode a couple of miles further than the
"faster" group.
We saw quite a bit of lightning to the north, east and south but the rain
missed us.
I told the group there would not be a Labor Day Monday ride, but there could
be a ride during the week.
It is was getting pretty dark at the end of the ride. It might be a pretty
good idea to put headlights and tail lights on the bikes for future rides.
Geo.

Hope every one had a great Labor Day Vacation. I am not planning a ride
for this week but am planning to ride with the Wheel and Sprocket group on
Thursday (9/4). I have rode with this group once before and they run about
a 20mph average in a group that drafts a fair amount thus making it easier
to keep up with the pace. They start riding at 6pm sharp from Wheel and
Sprocket in Delafield (Hwy 83 and I-94, in the shopping center at the south
east corner of the intersection). They do not provide a map so all I can
say is Hang-On or be prepared to find your way back.

For Monday Sept. 8th Steve and Joyce have offered to lead the ride from
Village Bowl in Menomonee Falls. We will need to start at 6pm due to lack
of light.

Directions From Milw: Hwy 45 north to Hwy 74 west through Menomonee Falls
(a little over 2 miles) to Village Bowl on the North side (Right side) of
Hwy 74.

Time: Ride at 6pm

Hope to see ya there....

Quote of the week: Ride until it is dark, and then continue to ride with
lights a shining...
