Re: [siouxhockey] "the ralph"

Obviously, you have nothing better to do at 3:00 a.m. than to whine
yourself...As they call the Hyslop in Fargo....the place where the Sioux-age
play...Yes, we are Sioux fans...living in Buffalo Country...It is great fun.
We bleed green with the best of them. I paid bucks and shed blood to have a
UND symbol tattooed to my ankle 3 years ago. I could care less WHO or WHAT
Mr. Engelstad brings to hockey games...nor should you. Watch the
game...cheer for the Sioux...or don't go...it really doesn't matter. There
is a waiting list for season hockey tickets. There will be someone to sit
in the seat YOU don't want. I think this arena is fabulous. It has given
us a chance to attend games that weren't an option when there was an arena
that seated so many less. We drive 78 miles one way to cheer 'them'
on...win or lose...they are OUR team and I will fight with the best of them
to prove MY point. There is a long, long line of tail lights going North
and then South during hockey season proving that many Sioux fans live in the
land of the Buffalo. We don't ever want to stoop to 'their' ignorant, rude
and obnoxious behavior. As for basketball in the Ralph, I was told from
people that attended the Kansas vs. ND game...that it was good. I don't
know. Concerts too seem to be questionable from attendees of Tim McGraw. I
thank Ralph Engelstad for his contributions to northern Minnesota(Thief
River Falls)and North Dakota(UND). I know a very touching, kind and
unselfish Ralph Engelstad who when I requested finding 2 tickets for a UND
vs. MN hockey game a few years back to surprise my husband with for his 50th
birthday. He came through...Giving me 2 tickets for a game or whatever I
would have wanted. That's the guy I know and appreciate. Looking forward to
the new seasons...Go Sioux! AAD
