This group/list is for English-language discussions of silat (Indonesian, Malaysian, Filipino, Dutch, US, or any other!) - sometimes moderated, but only if there are problems. Please be civil and understanding, as many members do not have English as their first language.
Remember adat and hormat: Obscenity, flaming, "trolling" or flame-baiting, and personal attacks will not be tolerated, and I ask that political or religious discussions be kept to a minimum.
With these requests in mind, everyone is welcome to join in the spirit of open exchange to discuss the techniques, history, philosophy, culture and other aspects of silat. We should all have something to teach and something to learn!
New members will be asked to verify their identity and involvement in silat, and will be subject to moderation for their first few posts. Membership requests which are not so confirmed within 2 weeks will be rejected.
