This might come as a surprise but there are practitioners - not even
masters - who can easily throw people from a distance in Indonesia.

Here in the Philippines, we were visited by the grandmaster of Kalimasada.
His wife was able to throw ten participants at the same time from a
distance.

Around two years ago, some of the Kalimasada practitioners went to
Jakarta, Indonesia for a worldwide Kalimasada exhibition. Many of the
practitioners who were LEVEL 3 could already throw others or break objects
from a distance. (Kalimasada grading system was from 1 to 6 then.)

I think you really have to see this phenomenon for you to really know that
this exists. It seems that the Indonesian Silat practitioners have
improved on the Chi Kung system of the Chinese and the Pranayama system of
the Indians in order to come up with a system that (1) BUILDS tremendous
amount of inner force stored in their body and (2) allows one to DISCHARGE
this force even from a distance for the purpose of throwing a person,
breaking an object, or healing.

The Ling Kong Jin (empty force) ability developed by the Chinese allows
one to discharge force after so many, many years of hard training (as much
as 3 hours a day). This kind of force is inferior to the Indonesian Silat
Tenaga Dalam systems where practitioners often practice for two hours a
day twice a week only and achieve this ability in around two years.

Unfortunately, you need to go to Indonesia for you to learn the complete
system of doing so. Outside Indonesia, they normally teach you just the
physical aspects and some of the inner aspects. You need to get to the
heart of the matter - Tenaga Dalam - if you truly want to reach the
essence of your Silat art. That's of course my opinion.

This being the 21st century, masters are now opening up their systems to
the world. Maybe some of these systems do work, maybe others don't. So, I
think we need to do some investigation on these things.
