a) It's three o'clock in the morning. Go to bed.

b) See section 7

c) Check 'My Profile' on the website. It may be that messages to you
have been bouncing. This is not Yahoo's fault. Talk to your service
provider.

Visit the website and change your personal settings or email

You will receive list messages as one daily email rather than thirty.

Please do not post messages to me on the list (if you do, please at
least CC them to me). I read the messages on the above address almost
every day. I don't read every message on the group.

8b) Who is the list owner?

Luke Bosman 'owns' the list, assisted by Hugh Cumberland and Dave
Scriven. Get in touch with them by using the address in 8a.

9) Where can I find out more?

10) Why can I not send files to the list?

One of the reasons for moving from Topica was the risk of email
viruses being spread in attachments. For this reason, and to keep
download sizes to a minimum, attachments are stripped from all list
messages.

If you want to share a file with list members then please upload it
to the list website.

11) I posted a message to the list a while ago. It still has not
arrived. Why?

a) Your messages are probably moderated and we have not yet found the
time to approve them. This is not because we dislike you but because
we may not know who you are. In the past, some numpties have joined
the list for a short period of time just to post abuse.

As soon as we consider that you have proved your worth we will allow
you to post direct to the list.

b) Contrary to popular opinion, email is not instantaneous. It can be
very fast. It can be very slow. It is possible for an email from the
UK to Australia to take less than a minute to cross the globe. It is
just as possible for an email to my neighbour to take several hours to
cross the street.

12) I have received a virus warning. What should I do with it?

There are many sites on the WWW which can let you know whether the
danger is real or imaginary.

Most emailed virus warnings are hoaxes. Visit http://vmyths.com/ for
information about how to recognise a virus hoax. If the alert did not
come from a /genuine/ computer security expert OR it urges you to
forward the letter to everyone you know then it will almost certainly
be a hoax.

Send hoax emails to hoaxkill@... They will then attempt to
contact the people who forward these emails and enlighten them.

You can also send them to HoaxFYI@... so that they can keep
track of trends in the world of hoaxsters.

13) I live miles away from Southend. How can I watch the goals?

You could subscribe to BluesWorld (via the SUFC website) or...

Just thought some of you might be interested in this for some of your exiles.
You can get all the local ITV channels on your mini dish by following the
instructions below. This would mean that people who support Darlo can see the
goals on the local news on Monday night. I only know Tyne Tees number (102-6)
but you can go through them to find the right one. Best to do it when local news
is on though as you can tell which area it is then.

1/ press services on sky remote.
2/ 4 system set up.
3/ 4 add channels.
4/ frequency- 10.832.
5/ polarisation- H.
6/ symbol rate- 22.0.
7/ FEC- 5/6.
8/ find channels press select.
9/ press yellow button to store and curser down
and store the next channel.
10/ press select when complete.
to access the saved new channels. services on sky remote 6 other channels and
there are the channels you have stored....

Hope this is of use to some of you. It was to me as the tv reception is crap
where I live and I was struggling to get ITV anyway.
