Well, it may be true that good instructors teach in
urban area especially KL. But then, accomodations in
KL could be reasonablly cheap if you choose to stay in
budget-hotels. In Shenlong Taichi, we learn and preach
only Traditional Taichi and we don't practisse other
forms of Wushu, let alone Yoga. You are welcome to
chat with us and perhaps we will tell you why. Thanks
and keep in touch.

Hello Tan Jokemin,
Thanks for your reaction.
The reason why I was thinking of a rural area, is because I would
like to
spend my days practising Yoga, meditation, and learn Tai Chi in a
quiet
environment. Also the cost of staying comes into it.
When I think about staying at a guesthouse in KL for a couple of
months,
this all seems to be more chaotic, and expensive...
I may be wrong about that though? If so, maybe you can let me know.
(It seems that the most senior teachers teach in KL?)
Would be nice if I could get a bit more of an idea about the
different
circumstances, in which a stay is possible (..plus cost?).
Greetings,
Axel

Hello,
Does anybody know a place in Malaysia where it is possible to stay for
a couple of months and study Tai Chi.
A place in a rural area would be ideal, but I don't know if such a
place exists. I would very much like to follow more than two lessons a
week.
Right now I stay in Thailand and am practicing Yoga
(asanas,energy-control techniques and meditation)at a forest tempel.
It would be nice if I could combine that with Tai Chi study in
Malaysia.
Thank you in advance,
Axel Saffran

I stumbled across this board quite pleasantly by
accident. I was a student of Master Wu's over 20
years ago in Taiwan and unfortunately have let my Tai
Chi slide. I remember Master Wu was talking about
making a video of the set, that would help me greatly
in restarting my training. I'm located in USA. Any
help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I started studying Tai-chi with Master Kevin Grissom in Kenosha, WI in 1992. It helped me tremendously following numerous surgeries to repair my cervical spine. I had purchase Tao Tai-chi Health (english) and between the classes and the book was making progress. However, I suffered damage to my neck and knee again. This forced me to abandon Tai-chi for years. I have had some more surgeries and remember the first section. However, I am wondering if Master Wu has made a video of the form. If he has, how do I obtain it? I would really like to remember the whole form before studying with Master Kevin again. Thanks: Dave Korsmo

Hello,
I lived in Taiwan R.O.C. for many years in the early 1980's and
had the good fortune to meet Wu Kuo-chung Lao Shih on several
occasions.
Although I never had the chance to study with him, I became friends
with some of his students. (In fact, my sister-in-law was a student
of
his in Taoyuan, Taiwan!)
I purchased his book "Tao T'ai-Chi Health" (English edition) and
found
it to be very informative regarding Wu Lao Shih's practice of TCC.
In this book he shows two Tso Lai-p'eng Nei Kung exercises.
My question is, are there other exercises in the Tso Lai-p'eng Nei
Kung, or are there only these two that are in the book. Also, what
are
some of the benefits I should expect from practicing this nei kung?
Thank you,
In friendship,
Danny Emerick
Hi there.
I stumbled across this board looking for Taiji information. I have
just recently found a Master in Chen Taijichuanin the US and would
love to converse with others regarding Taiji. I am going to start my
training tomorrow. Although I have had no martial arts training, I
have been voraciously reading on the subject and I feel that I have
found my "home".
Blessings,
Jen
