Fan club for Shawon Dunston, great shortshop of the Chicago Cubs from 1985 to 1997. Then hopped around from Pittsburgh Pirates, Cleveland Indians, San Franscisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, and New York Mets.

Shawon, who grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y., was selected by the Chicago Cubs with the first pick of the June 1982 Draft. He reached the majors three years later and enjoyed some productive seasons with the Cubs as a shortstop. Shawon made the National League All-Star team in 1988 and 1990 and currently ranks third on Chicago's all-time list for games played at shortstop with 1,228, trailing only Don Kessinger (1,618) and Joe Tinker (1,500). He spent his first 11 seasons with the Cubs, went to San Francisco in 1996, then returned for one more year in the Windy City. Since then, Shawon has been valued by several contending teams who acquired him for his leadership, versatility and potent bat. He helped the New York Mets reach the postseason in 1999 and did likewise for the Cardinals in 2000.
