First off, please sign up for Master Ingariola's Las Vega conference in
July. It should be a great seminar and general Kempo gathering.

Back to my question. For those who are black belt and high ranking
black belts, what are your feelings about each rank?
For instance, white belts tend to be awkward and stiff with their
movements. Blue belts are good at doing techniques but lack the
precision with their tools. Brown belts are good technicians and
practioners.
How would we describe the levels of black belt? Here's my thoughts:
1st-generally good technicians but lack the time in grade to really
adapt to new situations.
2nd-improved technicians (including left hands variations) but get a
little overconfident with their material.
3rd-teaching reenforces his skills and techniques, starts to understand
the underlying mechanics-linking the style together
4th-ability to express views of art and provide detailed critique of
movements. they make excellent seminar givers since they can adapt most
techniques on the fly
5th-they start seeing trends in the art, fundlementals that flow
through the entire curriculum, usually very fast with little effort.
they really work the pressure points during techniques
6th-here that their inner power really is exhibited in their
technqiues. they make their ukes really fly
I don't know about the other levels since I don't have much contact
with them.
