Raj,
As you go up through the ranks of Kempo you should be
blocking less and attacking more. You should be
working on techs that teach proper body alignment
(like Plum Tree blocking system) for blocking. That
way when they attack you, you can hurt their amr or
leg. That doesnt take any conditioning...just proper
alignment. Higher ranking Kempo is so fluid anyway
that isnt mmuch of a need for "hard" blocking
conditioning. Good luck with your training.

As I go up the ranks, how much importance should I give to conditioning drills? I do feel a need to condition my forearms and shins more, as it really hurts...
