Although it is true that nonviolence is, or
should be the reason why one studies the martial arts,
it should also be known that offensive knowledge of
your martial arts is important to the survival of your
loved ones. If you know not how to fight offensivly in
your style, then when one of your loved ones is in
trouble and/or fighting for his/her life... you will be
somewhat of a spectator in their demise. Sure you may
attempt to get the assailant to strike at you... but
without knowledge of how use offensive techniques you
will be in trouble.

Kempo offense:
Every
technique that you acquire can be used offensively. Take
the simple combination number 2 and its white belt
kempo brother. just to be clear (block, strike, move
in, elbow strike, *low strike or lift leg depending
on technique) <well for those of you who know the
techniques you know what i mean... although i left it vague.
this can be adapted well to offense. Throwing any
kick, or any punch, sets u up for this ability to move
in.
Knowledge in pressure points is highly useful
in these situations. To advacne upon a person who is
turned away from you attempting to do harm to a loved
one, knowing how to grab him to move him affectively
is important. Knowing where to hit him to knock him
out, or even kill him w/0 strength is also important.
To be a proficient martial artist one must be able
to adapt like this to his situations.
