I've assembled/disassembled bikes a few times at SFO, and never had a
problem with authorities (the problem, if any, has been the bike not
showing up at the destination). And there are no scheduled
restrictions for bikes on BART south of Civic Center (the official ban
is between Civic Center and Oakland 12th St during rush hour).
