I sure hope someone else had as much fun as Russ and I did this past weekend. We pulled in to Codorus on Friday, amidst a dreary drizzle of rain. Since the forecast was calling for showers off and on all weekend, we figured we might as well get used to it, and we played both layouts; surprisingly well actually considering the rain. We had grandiose plans of going to find dinner somewhere, but once we pulled in to Jay.'s place it was over. Too much Frisbee action, too many friendly faces, too many libations flowing, and too tired to go anywhere. This was the first of 2 very similar evenings, filled with laughter, story telling, catching up with old friends and Frisbee tossing well into the spotlight lit night. That's right, Jay. has lights so you can play all night.
We had two rounds on Saturday, and the weather couldn't have been better. No rain, not too much humidity, and slightly overcast all day. When we met for lunch, Russ called his wife, and the report he gave her was "Hey, how're you doing? that's good. I beat Brad. Talk to you later." After round one, Russ was up by 4. After round two, I was up by 1. And of course I reminded him of this all night at the local watering hole, and well into the wee hours of the morning.
Round three found Russ and I playing on the same card, along with Eric Boger, and BW Llamma George Ginter. Great group to be in; we had a blast, despite the constant drizzle. It seemed pretty apparent that not too many people had practiced or prepared for the rain as there were quite a few scores coming in worse than the first. Our card was pretty tight throughout the round, with a few mishaps here and there, but everyone seemed to hold it together pretty well. After it was all said and done, I ended up beating Russ by 4. He was pretty quiet on the ride home...
I've said it before and I'll say it again: If you have the chance to go to Codorus, do it. Especially if it's a tourney, and especially if you can find a reason to crash at Jay.'s place. Uncle Jay. is the most generous host you'll find.
Full results can be seen here for those interested.

I'm still collecting money for tags! I'd love to be playing for them already, but we need a few more people to sign up before we can order them.
I'm looking in to getting some Under Armour type t-shirts printed. If you're interested, please let me know. Cost will be around $15/ea.

It's getting closer to the Harvest everyday. We're going to start having some workdays, so be on the lookout for dates.
Russ will be handling the scheduling since he did such a great job last year.

I forgot that this Sunday is Mother's Day. I won't be out. I'll see you out there on the 17th!
-Brad
