We had a sizable group out yesterday, enjoying the warmer afternoon and sloppy ground conditions. We also saw at least 4 others playing as well. Expect big crowds this summer!
Not too many shots made the highlight reel, although Briscoe was lights out with the new putter. Word on the street is that he's been playing every chance he can get, and the improvement is noticeable.

Highlights
Brad hit the cage on his 3 putt on 3B... One of these days I'll get it.
Brad and Russ par 8B
Greg birdies 9A
Wild Bill is the only one without a penalty stroke on 17B on his card

Totals
Brad   66
Russ   68
Greg   68
Shawn   69
Dave   70
Wild Bill   86
Carol   96

You can see a couple videos from the round, here. Look at the recent activity section.

Lots of exciting things going on.
The Township is providing us with 16 tons of crushed gravel for the purpose of leveling the tee pads. The plan is to dig and frame a box, flush with the ground, with pressure treated 4x4's, fill with gravel, tamp and attach the pad to the wood. This will give every pad a solid, uniform base that will drain much better than they do now. So now we need two things.
First is money. The lumber for each pad is going to cost about $40.
Second is labor to do the actual installations. Once we have some lumber I will be out on Mondays, and more than likely skipping the round on some Sundays so we can have the pads finished before August.

Sunday March 22nd is the Sherando Spartan PDGA C-Tier tournament. This pretty much marks the beginning of the local PDGA season. I plan on attending, if anyone wants to join me on my birthday weekend, let me know.

Other early season events I will be playing:
March 28th Boulder Bash VI, Boulder Woods/Quaker's Challenge, Lewisberry, PA
April 4th Patapsco Punisher, Patapsco State Park, Marriotsville, MD
May 2-3 Pennsylvania State Championships, Codorus State Park, Hanover, PA
August 22nd Whispering Falls Harvest II

I attached a flier for Boulder Bash. If you want info on any of the other events, most have been discussed on the MD forums. If not, I can probably get you the info you need.
I also attached a picture of some discs that I just dyed for PA States. If anybody is interested in a similar dye, let me know and we can haggle a price.

We should also start seeking out sponsorships for the Harvest. The sooner we start, the easier it will be. If you have a lead for a business that you think may be willing to support us, drop me a line.

It's starting to get warmer, I better see you at the course!
-Brad
