What started as a miserably cold weekend actually turned in to a pleasant Sunday afternoon for some golf.
Russell sent me the obligatory text message in the morning, calling out my manhood, and reminding me of my blow up this past weekend, all in an effort to goad me into a skins round; in which he thought I would be easy pickings.
"Hi, my name is Brad. I have a gambling problem."
After rifling through my wife and mother's purses I scrounged up enough quarter pieces for the match. We were joined by 717's own road warrior, Nick Krawczak, who was unaware of our skins arrangement.
Russ was feeling mighty good after winning the first 2 skins with a birdie on 2. He quickly was brought back to reality by the Notorious B.R.A.D. after he double bogied 4 and bogied 5, to my pair of pars. We traded skins off and on through most of the front 9, and were only separated by a stroke at the turn. Then came the back. I don't know what came over me, but I think it had something to do with all the names Russell was calling me. Sorta like the old adage about poking the bear...

This Sunday January 25th. Sherando Ice Bowl, in Stephen's City, VA. If you've never played Sherando, you should. An incredibly fun course with a great variety of shots.
Cost is $25 for all divisions, I will be leaving my place at 8:15A and can meet somewhere if anyone is interested in a car pool. This should be a great tournament, and as with all Ice Bowls, it's going to support a local charity. I hope some of you can make it, I'd love to have some company!
I'd like to publicly thank Nick for throwing up $20 to help sponsor the Freeze! Thanks Nick.
See you on the course!
-Brad
