What a beautiful weekend of disc golf we had. On Saturday, Russell and I ventured to Codorus for the Autumn Open. We both finished int eh plastic in our respective divisions, although neither were satisfied with our play. Lot of putts left out there. But, for our efforts we both received prizes, and better yet, got to enjoy a gorgeous day looking out over Lake Marburg. If you missed it, you missed out. You should plan on going to the North Vs. South event at Codorus, on November 1st. All 54 holes, all from the AM tees.

Sunday tags had a small turnout, despite the amazing weather. Greg and Shawn had just returned from the 3 day geekathon and were ready for some fresh air. Ian moved the baskets to A pins early this week, and could smell blood in the water. It was a horse race all the way. Only 3 strokes separated us at the turn, and it would remain tight until the very end. After it was all said and done, everybody left with the one they brought.

Highlights:
Brad birdies 6
Greg birdies 9
Greg birdies 13
Brad birdies 18
Ian is using a putter to putt with instead of a Wraith

Lowlights;
Greg 5s 7 and 8
Greg 6s 10
Brad circle 4s 11, and gets in the creek for plastic retrieval. It was cold!
Shawn 5s 13
Ian circle 5s 17

Finals
Brad   1   61   1
Greg   2   61   2
Shawn 4   63   4
Ian     17   68   17

On Monday there was a small contingent of non workers that battled it out for tag supremacy. Some may say that it was a runaway victory; but the real battle was for second place. At the turn, 2 strokes from second to third, and 2 from third to fourth. There was history in the making, but it was not to be. Poor shot making led to a disappointing finish.
Highlights:
Brad birdies 6
Brad and Russ birdie 6
Shooby gets the lone par on 8
Brad birdies 11,12 and 13
Dave birdies 13
Russ birdies 18

Lowlights:
Shooby 5s 1
Dave 5s 4
Brad missed putts on 7 and 8 for par
Dave 5s 8
Russ 5s 10
Brad and Shooby circle 6 17
Dave 5s 18
I was 2 under par through 16 holes, and just let it go on 17. Worse than that, I missed easy putts on 7 and 8 that would have been for par. It is definitely out there...

Finals:
Brad Lescalleet   1   55   1
Russ Johnston    5    63   5
Craig Shooby    6    68   6
Dave Briscoe   11    69   11

Next week: Saturday is the Shawnee State Park inaugural Disc Golf Tournament.
Triples format, $10/person, $30/team. Leave my place at 9A. I attached the information for those interested.

Sunday we battle it out for tags again. 2P tee time.
See you on the course!
